Highlights
  • Caesarea National Park - The city of Caesarea was constructed under Herod and named after the Roman Emperor, Caesar. From what remains of the ancient city we can see that it was a prosperous and luxurious city. Among the archaeological excavations we can see gateways, a moat and well preserved walls and rooms. There is a perfectly preserved Roman amphitheater which is still used today for performances by Israeli and international artists. Next to the amphitheatre is part of what was once a hippodrome.
  • The Baha’i Gardens - We continue driving north passing through Haifa where we stop to see breathtaking Baha’i Shrine and gardens. The terraced gardens cascade down the mountain towards the city below, each of the 19 terraces bursts with colorful flowers and landscaped designs..
  • Rosh Hanikra - Our next stop is at Rosh HaNikra, the most northerly point along Israel’s Mediterranean coast. We descend by cable car into the network of limestone grottoes created by the constant bombardment of waves against the rocks.
  • The Lebanese Border - Visit and explore the Grottos at Rosh Hanikra
  • Acre - Visit the Old City of Acre
  • Citadel of Acre - We can see the Crusader remains, the prison used under Turkish rule and the gallows which were used under the British Mandate to hang Jews who broke the British law limiting Jewish immigration to Palestine following World War II.

Interesting and informative tour! Recommended. - Interesting and informative tour! It's a long one, 10 hours, but worth it. You'll visit many interesting and unique places, so be ready for a lot of walking under the hot Sun. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat and drink plenty of water! Our tour guide was excellent and the bus driver was a real pro.

Great sampler tour of the northern coast of Israel! - The tour was fantastic! We were short on time and wanted to cover as much of Israel as we could. We booked this tour and we didn't regret it one bit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and really took the time to explain each site to us. We weren't able to go into the Baha'i Gardens since it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but we went to a few view points to see it from different angles outside. Each site was beautiful and really enjoyed the suggested restaurant in Acre.

Great tour of wonderful sites - A great tour that includes many worthwhile sites. The grottos at Rosh Hanikra are the best I’ve ever seen. Acre was wonderful as a city and for the hospitaliers intact fort. I loved Caesarea. Ancient Roman ruins are my thing. Haifa was beautiful. The guide explained everything

Many sites well worth it - Excellent guide for this multi site tour. It was like we covered 3 days worth of sight seeing because they got us in and out so efficiently. Was plenty of time to eat, shop and use the bathroom. Honestly, it would have taken 3 days effort to do all of alone. Ceaserea, rush harkino and Akko are all a must see. I want to go back to all 3 at least once again in my life. The gardens were enjoyable.

Very good - Views were spectacular. Our guide had to communicate in English and French because a few people on the bus were French speaking only. I guess there was a shortage of French speaking guides at the time. I love the sound of French but it was a little confusing and definitely time consuming. Our guide had to repeat every segment of information twice. So I guess he had to go strait to the point which likely impacted the quality of our communication and put him under unnecessary stress.

Rampant racism and fraud - I would leave 0 stars if I could. Our tour guide for the coast of Israel told us after we had already left on the bus that they were changing the itinerary to remove the destination we were most interested in. we informed our tour guide we would like a refund for the entry fees for the portion of the tour they cut out and to get off after the first stop to train home (which we did) since they were changing the itinerary. The company was aggressive and rude - they were insulting and fraudulently charged for a service and entry fees which they did not provide or deliver. The guide Aviva was one of the worst and rudest I have ever had dispite booking tours through Viator all over the world. Her historical “facts” were slanted and she made numerous racist comments to include “the Bahai gardens are built by good Muslims not the other terrorists and hateful Muslims.” I could not believe some of the things she said to a bus full of strangers. Viator customer support also was unable to step in to assist with a partial refund which was incredibly disappointing. Despite the tour company intially saying they would provide a refund they ultimately denied the request AND threatened me if I wrote a bad review. The entire experience put a dark spot on what was an otherwise wonderful trip. I want to make sure others don’t fall prey to this awful company.

Too many people, stressful and expensive - There were way too many people on this tour—about 40. The guide spent more time trying to herd us from one point to another than she did on providing any narrative/info/context. We didn’t even have time to read descriptions at the sites. Definitely tried to pack too much in as well. The trip to Rosh Hanikra was totally unnecessary. Would have preferred a much more informative tour of just Caesarea and Acre which were the highlights. Was not good value for money. Spent about the same on a private guide in Jerusalem.
