Highlights
  • Buenos Aires - Begin your 9-hour tour with a drive from your hotel in Buenos Aires to the village of San Antonio de Areco. Enjoy views of the pampas en route and listen to commentary about the area from your guide.
  • Museo Draghi - Paradores Draghi is the ideal corner for those who enjoy the cultural attractions offered by a place. There you will access a tour through the sumptuous space where you can see a vast collection of pieces of rural goldsmithing of the nineteenth century, which reveals the mysteries of a period of national identity consecration of the figure of the Gaucho as a main character of that time.

In Paradores Draghi begin your journey through history not only as a spectator, but also as a participant in the process of making exclusive goldsmith pieces that take shape through the hands of artisans recreating the techniques of traditional goldsmithing as their founder, Juan José Draghi, did in the 60s.

Once you get to the town, you will enjoy a tour of the village including a walk around the historical downtown of the city.

  • Parroquia San Antonio de Padua - Located on Segundo Sombra Street, between Alsina and Arrellano. Don José Ruiz de Arellano founded the first oratory in the center of his stay. The foundation of this oratory was very important for the creation of the town. In the years 1720 and 1728, the first chapel was built, it was located a little more to the right than the current one. The foundation stone of the present church was placed on February 7, 1869 and was buried under the central entrance door. Inside it was placed a lead box containing the original records written on parchment, newspapers of the day, medals and coins of the time.
  • Boliche de Bessonart Bar - In the grocery and drinks store, the peasants and country people who came to the town to provide themselves and do errands to the cereal house, the store, the doctor, the bank, used to meet. There “stopped” Don Segundo Ramírez, the gaucho who was later a character in the novel by Ricardo Güiraldes.
  • Estancia El Ombu de Areco - Make your way to the exclusive ‘El Ombu de Areco’ Estancia. At this place, you will have a chance to take rides on horses or go for a ride in a carriage while enjoying some traditional cold cuts, cheeses and beverages. Then, you will enjoy a typical Argentinian barbeque of the finest meats. While you have dessert, you will be able to see a folklore show followed by a demonstration of gaucho skills.

Wonderful immersion of Argentina culture - Leonardo was a fantastic guide! He was super knowledgeable and personable and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. This was a wonderful full day excursion and we felt immersed in Argentinian culture. I was beaming getting to ride horses again. The food at the asado was great and we were greeted with delicious Malbec wine and handmade empanadas at the estancia. So much fun getting to dance to folklore music but the highlight was definitely watching the connection of the gaucho with his horse at the end. Great way to celebrate our anniversary.

Definitely worth it - Leandro was our tour guide, and he did an amazing job! He was very informative and had such a great, fun personality. We are not usually ones for doing tours—we tend to prefer exploring on our own—but were so glad we did this one. From having transportation handled seamlessly and plenty of delicious food included to riding horses and watching a gaucho show, this tour was definitely worth it!

Amazing time! - This trip was so much fun! Myriam was our guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable! The estancia was beautiful, the horses were friendly and fun and the food and wine was amazing. We were given a welcome drink and delicious empanadas after our horse ride. The empanadas were so good. The lunch was delicious with so many types of meat and fresh veggies. The horse show was my favorite and impressive! We would for sure recommend this tour to anyone wanting to go out to the countryside. I would recommend some bug spray at the moment as the mosquitos can be a little intense. Our bus driver, Max was also great! We had a nice smooth ride there and back!

Fantastic Day on the Ranch - Fantastic day on the ranch We had the best time with such a knowledgeable guide, Myriam. Our trip was filled with stories, details, extra pointers as we’ve just arrived in Buenos Aires and general knowledge about Argentina. The bus journey was very comfortable and Carlos the driver was great. We enjoyed the 2 breaks we had at shop and silversmith, amazing silver work. On arrival we had the best empanadas and drinks. We went horse riding and all went well. With a big group of Rugby players sharing the day we had fun with the dancing, extra music and banter. We ate so much beautiful food and absolutely loved the tour. Thank you.
