Highlights
  • Gorriti 5641 - There is one thing and one thing only the Argentineans are worldwide renown. Spoiler alert: it’s not Messi. It’s the Argentinean Barbecue, better known as ASADO.

In this class we will be teaching our guests the art of the Argentinian ASADO, in all it’s aspects..

Asado has been a tradition and pride of Argentina since this country was born and now, more than ever represents us worldwide.
We will explain to our guests the different cuts of meat, how to prepare them, and cook them on the Argentinian charcoal grill also known as “parrilla”. The proper selection of wood, the right temperature of the grill, and even the proper distance between the meat and coals play an important role in the final result.
All this will take place while we share some cheese, charcuterie, and a classic Argentinian aperitif, the fernet. Brought to Argentina by the first Italian emigrants Fernet has been a staple every since.
Once the different parts of the Asado are ready and we finished preparing the best sauces to pair them with, “criolla” and “chimichurri”, we will proceed to serve and enjoy each cut accordingly to the traditional order, always paired with typical Argentinian red wines.

What's Included
  • Lunch included
Meal Options
  • Board of cheese, charcuterie and cold cuts - While our chef gets the grill rocking we will start with this classic aperitif.

Additional Information

In this journey, we will unravel the mystery behind the renowned and traditional Argentine ‘asado’ and its unique allure. We’ll elucidate the variety of meat cuts utilized in the asado, the proper method of cooking them, and the sequence for serving.

We will compare and contrast the barbecue styles of our neighboring countries and delve into certain Argentine customs during the asado.

Participants will learn how to craft the Argentine asado from scratch and during this immersive experience, we will relish the quintessential Argentine aperitif - the Fernet, with instructions on its preparation, Argentine style.

Best Asado!!! - The best asado of the entire trip! We ate at some very expensive places but the meats for this experience were by far the juiciest and most flavourful. Highly recommend this class. The folks running the experience were very friendly and made sure everyone felt welcomed. Note, the location has recently changed so be sure to confirm the address

So much fun! - Can’t say enough. This was a terrific afternoon! Federico, Ayelen and Nicolas really showed us a great time! We started off with some picadas, a charcuterie board, and a beverage … wine, of course, but also Fernet (with Coke, as is the Argentine way). The differences between parrilla and asado were explained as we enjoyed chorizo and morcilla sausages as well as asado, the traditional Argentine short ribs and an incredible presentation of vacio or flank steak. With all of this we also enjoyed grilled vegetables, a salad, some wonderful bread and a sweet to finish off our experience. It wasn’t just about the food, though. We were made to feel as welcome as the friends with whom you might share a mate with. The intimate setting (8 guests) made it possible for us get to know one another, share some laughs and talk about anything from football (soccer) exploring nature. In a trip filed with fantastic experiences, this is right there at the top. A higher recommendation we can’t make!

Come for food, leave with new friends. - I don't often give 5-star reviews, but this was definitely an exception! While the food and beverage was good, the history and culture around asado and the "whatever you need" attitude was spectacular! I've been vegetarian for more than 20 years, but I started preparing for this experience almost two months ahead because I understood how integral asado is in the culture of Argentina. The three people who led this class made it worthwhile! Come with an open mind a a good-sized hunger.

Treated like friends at a backyard bbq (but we didn't have to help cleanup) - We were greeted by Nicolas and ___________? like old friends. I can't believe I forgot his name, I'm a senior, that's my excuse, or it could be from that last glass of wine, LOL. Even though we were the only couple signed up (X-mas eve day), they did not cancel on us. Thank you so much. For several hours we talked about life/family/friends... while _______? bbq'd 5 different kinds of meat and served us appetizers, salad, grilled vegetables, dessert, and refilled our wine/beer. We had a fabulous time even though the weather was a little windy and rainy. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our afternoon. We went home to Canada the next day. What a perfect way to end our trip. If you have an opportunity to attend this Asado Class on the beautiful terrace of the Boutique Suites Hotel, my husband and I highly recommend it.

One of the best experiences in Buenos Aires. - What an incredible moment we experienced this afternoon. Share and get to know cultures, not only of the locals but also of the rest of the people present. We ate and drank as much as we wanted with different cuts, sauces and drinks. The class was incredible, from how to light the barbecue to cutting and the details of Argentine roast culture. Special highlight for the drink made fresh by Matias. Congratulations and thank you very much
