The perfect gateway from Bucharest - I was originally thinking about booking a group tour. But the thought of being in a big bus with a lot of crowds and fighting the line made think that private tour is the way to go, which I'm so glad I made this decision. Toni is a professional, excellent communication. He knows exactly how to optimize the trip to get ahead of the line. In Peles castle, we were basically the first in line, then 10 min later, the crowd from the buses came. It made a huge difference of coming a little early. We basically tour the castle before everyone else. The castle was so beautiful, well worth the trip alone. Next we went to Bran's castle, took a very scenic route through the mountain and valley. Bran's castle is okay in my opinion, a little gimmicky. I'd say spend more time in Peles castle and Brasov. That's the advantage of using private tour, you have the flexibility Then, we went to Brasov, I had a nice meal at the square. Then do the walking tour with Toni, learning about the history and interesting facts of the area. Finally, we went to see the black church. Toni picked and dropped me right at the lobby of my hotel. Talking about the convenience. This private tour well worth the money. Don't be stuck in a bus, go with Toni in personalized tour with local guide!

Fabulous Tours - We had a great time with Toni on two private tours to Transylvania and a city tour of Bucharest. He is very passionate about his country and his information is engaging and enjoyable. He adapted our tours to suit our needs and nothing was too much trouble. His vehicle is clean and comfy and Toni is an excellent, safe driver. Toni is also very personable and a friendly person who ensures that your trips are packed, informative and fun. The information he shares with you is interesting and he does not overload or bore you with dates and other unnecessary information. He has developed PowerPoint presentations on his iPad to illustrate some parts of his tours, which help you to engage and understand. Great job Toni. Thank you.

Amazing Trip - Had a great tour with Toni. Toni was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed the tour. He is very knowledgeable about Romania and shared a lot of information with us. I think one of my favorite parts of the trip was eating lunch with Toni after our visit to Bran castle. Toni recommended some delicious traditional dishes and we got a chance to ask a lot of questions and learn so much about this beautiful country.

One of the best tour guides in the world - Toni was an excellent tour guide. He was awesome throughout the whole tour and not only that he went out of his way to arrange a tour on the following day. He was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. He not only took us to all the places but he made sure we were comfortable. This was one of the best tours I’ve taken. He also show us the most famous dessert in Romania.

Absolutely LOVELY day!!! HIGHLY recommend this tour AND guide!! - Before the day of our tour, I already knew it would be great. Toni was kind and responsibly enough to reach out prior to the tour to arrange a pickup time and location with us. He clearly meant it when he said we could reach out to him at any time with any questions we had about Romania or Bucharest. We had such an incredible day with Toni!! He was so friendly and came prepared with cold bottled water for us in the morning. He even grabbed us a coffee from a coffee shop on the way and offered to purchase extra waters for us later in the day. Throughout the trip, Toni was very helpful, giving us advice on what to do over our next few days in Bucharest and helping us arrange other activities/transport. He even went so far as to contact a business for us via telephone AND email to ask about their hours and COVID operation! Peles Castle was incredible (maybe even more so than Bran) even though we had never really heard of it. Toni was very knowledgeable about all the history of the castle and answered all of our curious questions. The grounds were lovely and it was so nice to be out of the city. He also knew all the best spots for photos and took a bunch of cute photos of me and my friend. Next we went to Bran and Toni waited for us outside. It was nice to see such a famous castle! The inside of the castle was interesting, but we were surprised that this was probably our least favorite of the things we saw on the tour. Make sure to go to the back gardens of the castle after the tour to get something akin to the famous view you see in the photos! There is also a little market with food and souvenirs of the castle which was fun to wander around. After we visited Bran, we went to lunch in the town outside the castle with Toni. He chose a great restaurant for us and helped us order some traditional Romanian food and desserts. It was very helpful to have him with us to choose a good restaurant, recommend food for us, and communicate with the waiters. After lunch, we drove to Brasov. There we walked through the main streets of the town to experience its atmosphere and main sights. Some highlights of the tour included framed bullet holes on a building from the anti-Communist revolution, the narrowest street in Europe, and the main Brasov square. Again, Toni is very knowledgeable about this history. During the car rides, Toni was very personable and answered all of our questions about Romania. He also was very conscious to stop every so often to let us use the bathroom. Toni made it very clear to us that our tour, because private, was flexible. He was kind enough to spend extra time with us so that the tour took 13 hours instead of 12, which we very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone seeking to see the main sights near Bucharest. It seems that a day was the perfect amount of time for us to see these sights— the day wasn’t too utterly packed or rushed, but we certainly couldn’t have fit anything more in. I think it’s definitely worth it to see more than just Bran— as I mentioned, although it was what we were most looking forward to before the tour, it ended up being our least favorite of the incredible places Toni took us to! I would also highly recommend Toni as a tour guide for any customized tour you are thinking about in Romania. As long as he is available, he can cater to the length you’d like your tour to be and wherever you’d like to go, even including the Black Sea. He was so professional and conscientious, just the right personality for being a tour guide!! 😀

An excellent way to spend the day - Toni is an excellent tour guide who has a lot of knowledge about the region. It was a very informative and fun tour. I also took another tour with Toni (the Communist era tour, in Bucharest) the following day. I would highly recommend booking both.
