Additional Information

Join us on a journey across Bucharest in our Dacia to uncover the multifaceted city of Europe: a blend of the 19th-century belle époque lifestyle and the 70s Eastern Socialist period.

We’ll traverse three distinct neighborhoods in Bucharest with our Dacia:
• The Cotroceni quarter — a magnificent residential villa district where the bourgeoisie of the 19th century and today reside. Be amazed by sites like the Cotroceni Presidential Palace, the Military Academy Building, the Botanical Garden, and the villas.
• The Drumul Taberei quarter — built in the 60s, it’s home to the everyday person. Marvel at the massive communist apartment blocks, the bustling farmers’ market, the Orthodox churches frequented by the average Romanians, or the repurposed factories turned shopping centers!
• The Ferentari quarter, known as the “city Machala.” This is Bucharest’s most photogenic & contrasting area, notorious for its high poverty levels and its ghetto architecture.

Experience an unforgettable journey in our expertly refurbished Dacia!

Back in time - A complex tour that managed to bring the atmosphere of communism back to the present in a very funny and authentic way. If you want to feel yourself in the "golden era" of the communist years, don't hesitate to book a trip back in time. You won t regret!

Discover hidden places in Bucharest in an old car - If you are looking for something different to do in Bucharest, you will love this tour! It shows you non-touristy places of the Romanian capital. We enjoyed it a lot. It was very interesting and full of history. Also, driving around the city with an old Dacia was and adventure.

Highly recommended!! - We loved the Red Patrol tour. I love old cars, so riding around in the Dascia was a special treat. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny, and an all-around nice guy. One of the highlights from our visit to Bucharest.

Around town with Dacia! - I was in Bucharest working, and was able to take one of the tours with Dacia on a weekend. We toured a few flea markets and drove around to various points of interest in the city. I had such a personal experience that I could not have had any other way. Loved the tour guide, loved the Dacia. I would highly recommend!
