Brilliant experience, great host, well worth the money. Don't eat lunch beforehand! - Absolutely wonderful trip. We planned our visit to bologna with this as our main activity. We caught the train from Milan and booked the evening tour on a Friday In April. The meeting point was easy to find in the square with Neptune's Fountain, our guide, Federica, was truly wonderful. She knew so much about the place and made an effort to tell us not just about the food we were trying but also the landmarks and history of the place. We had 7-8 stops and tried lots of different food as well as learning about the traditions and history of the dishes. We had cold cuts from one of the many busy Deli spots but were treated to having them in the oldest pub in the city with a wine pairing which was a great experience and certainly felt like locals. Federica made a real effort to ensure that the whole group were included and that everyone had plenty of food and wine and she clearly knew her stuff! After being suitably filled up on great bread and cheese and local cold cuts, we had a walk through the streets learned the history of balsamic vinegar and the process for making it whilst watching the pastas that we were about to sample being made. A short walk to a local trattoria with two types of pasta (which alone would have filled us up) and wine in the local custom. The family style seating was really good as you got talking to others in the group and had lots of tasty wine and food. We walked to a gelato shop as our last stop having gone through little Venice and had the best gelato we've ever eaten. In short, we absolutely adored doing this experience and think it was worth every penny. Again, Federica was such a good host and she really made this so much better than some of the other tour guides we saw and heard on other tours throughout the day. One tip we would say to anyone before booking this is don't each lunch beforehand!!!! Thanks Federica and team; we'd book again in a heart beat.

Amazing tour with Federica! - Wonderful evening food tour with our guide Federica. She was engaging and knowledgeable about Bologna history and was kind and inclusive to everyone in our group. We got to try all of the traditional foods of Bologna along with the history of them - and made new friends along the way. Highly recommend this tour!

Learn about the regional specialties from a fun and interesting guide - Roberta was really engaging and had a lot of interesting things to tell us not only about food but also the city of Bologna. The food and wine were incredible and the company was really fun too. Highly recommend.

BEST FOOD/ WINE EVER - Best food tour I’ve ever been on. The wine, food, and fun facts about Bologna and it’s food history/culture was so interesting. The food was melt in your mouth good. And our guide Sonya was the best she made everything fun and would definitely recommend anyone to try out if they are visiting Bologna

It was ok - The guide was very nice and informative. We had a fairly large group of people for the tour. It was a bit long and the food wasn’t very good outside of the gelato.
