Welcome to Huatajata in La Paz, Bolivia

Its coastlines and minor islands are home to the indigenous Aymara and Quechua people, descendants from antiquated civilizations that were present much before the dominance of the Incas. This is where visitors get an opportunity to experience native villages where Spanish is considered a secondary language and where aged myths and belief systems are very much alive. A unique feature of Lake Titicaca is the miniature islands that float, inhabited by the Uros tribe. Visit these tiny islands to receive a warm welcome, and perhaps even experience a ride in the famed reed boats.
