Located in the region of Rajasthan, Bikaner is roughly 220 miles away from Jaipur by road travel. Once the leading city of the regal state of Bikaner, it was established by Rao Bika in the year 1486. Since then, it has grown to become the fourth most populated city in Rajasthan. Bikaner owes its expansion to the Ganges Canal, finished in 1928, and the Indira Gandhi Canal, accomplished in 1987. Renowned for its vibrant markets, historic mansions, narrow lanes, and traditional communities, Bikaner offers an amazing exploration experience. A guided walking tour through the city’s private mansions known as Havelis, coupled with the lively street culture, is truly an incredible journey.
