The aftermath of WWII saw 30 years of Soviet rule and the Berlin Wall’s erection, which bisected Prenzlauer Berg, consequently sparking a huge squatting movement. Our English-speaking guide, well-versed in history, will lead you through a limited-capacity tour, interspersed with visits to magnificent food joints including traditional street food outlets, tasting sessions in the earlier Jewish quarter, local delicatessen, Berliner beer, a delectable Oriental dish, and a dessert worth dying for!

A great day of food and culture - We had a really great day with Tiago! We had to change the schedule a bit when we found out the curry wurst place was closed, but we loved all the other foods we were able to try. During the tour, Tiago incorporated just the right amount of cultural history and foodie discussions (the restaurants we were going to, foods were were going to try, and other recommendations for the rest of our stay in Berlin). He was great about answering our questions about the city. We were in Berlin for 6 days and did a few other tours and this one was by far our favourite. Highly recommended!
