#1 Designer Rail Trail - Murray to the Mountains - If you want to have your expectations exceeded then I suggest booking a TOUR DE VINES self guided Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail tour from Beechworth to Bright with an extension to Harrietville. Guided option is available but not necessary. Six of us have just returned from this trip and the general consensus is "when are we going again?" It was super well organised, with healthy cuisine which was "delish." The whole trip was approx 170kms including side trips. Excellent scenery with a flat to undulating track which was not difficult to traverse and navigate. The two and a half day self guided trip option with our own bikes gave us plenty of freedom to progress at our own pace. Tour De Vines are all over this adventure in terms of organisation, quality and professionalism. Suggest doing the trip in early May as the Autumn colour and weather is spectacular. A FEW TIPS - take a light mountain bike however it can be done on a road bike; Mt. Buffalo. (52kms return) is a scenic but difficult side trip. Suggest doing the extension track out to Harrietville following the Ovens River. Ride out on the track and ten return via the road if short on time. Take time to ride around towns before moving on. Daily temps were 3-19 deg C. (early May). The Beechworth Bakery in Bright is a must. Peppo's Pumpkin Seed facility is worth a visit. Quality of accommodation is very good. The track is paved all the way from Beechworth to Harrietville. Tour De Vines will collect your purchases from along the way and have them ready for you to collect and the end of the trip. Enjoy!

A great riding adventure - What an amazing holiday with Tour De Vines. So well organised and such friendly staff. We did an extra day in Bright with a trip to Harrietville. So glad we did as it was an amazing addition. We could not speak highly enough about the whole Tour De Vine experience. We will certainly be coming back for more. We picked the most stunning weather with the Autumn colours being at their most spectactular peak. Michael was our “go to” person from the time we started the trip in Beechworth and he was so good explaining everything about the journey we were about to undertake. He regularly stayed in touch with us at each of our overnight stops. The electric bikes which were given were in great condition and performed really well. The choice of accomodation and the cafes, wineries and restaurants were all great and just enhanced the whole of our experience. I am 79 years old and my wife is 74. I would thoroughly recommend TourDeVines to anyone contemplating an outdoor riding experience even people our age if they have a reasonable level of fitness.

Bucket list item ticked off! - We had an amazing time on this trip! The ride was exactly as expected and we managed it easily on normal bikes without any great level of fitness or training beforehand. Michael from Tour De Vines explained everything clearly and gave great hints and tips on where to stop and sights to look out for. The accommodation was great, simple, clean with everything we required for an overnight stay and our luggage dropped off and picked up with no hassles. The winery visits and lunches were delicious and in the perfect part of the day so you only had another 6 or 7kms to go after having a few wines and still giving you time to explore the towns you were in for the night. Highly recommend this in autumn as the colours of the trees are spectacular. Will be looking to book another trail with Tour De Vines in the future, they made it so easy and enjoyable!

Great tour in a beautiful region of Australia - We ( 6 of us) highly recommend this TDV tour for a number of reasons : the bikes were great ( we used both hybrids and e bikes) , hotels were always clean with comfortable beds ( albeit some were a little quirky) , included dinners were delicious and we felt Michael was available for help whenever we needed. We loved the self guided approach - strong support from the TDV team yet we loved being on our own for the experience. The scenery along the route is absolutely beautiful and Autumn is a perfect time to go as the colour of the leaves on the trees is spectacular. Our ages ranged from 60-73 and our fitness levels varied , but we all managed the daily rides with ease. Communication before the tour and during was excellent. My only criticism would be the lunch and dinner at Myrtelford didn’t fit into their description of “gourmet tour” - the provided lunch was very minimal ( especially for the vegetarians in our group) and dinner (at our own cost) was lacking in quality choices and very average in standard. Despite this - I still highly recommend this tour.

Autumn Gourmet rail trail - Awesome organisation so smooth and the information provided was spot on. The motels were very comfortable with friendly service. We rented one ebike which certainly made the ride easier but it’s fairly flat so great for any type of rider. Loved the Bush Track Cellar door platter and wine on Saturday afternoon and the Ringer Reef Winery platter and fleet tasting on Sunday. So much beautiful scenery and everyone is so friendly in this region. We would highly recommend this ride in autumn with all the trees turning on the colours and sunshine all day. Thanks to Mike and Bernard for the efficient pickups and luggage transport. Thankyou Tour De Vines we will be back.

Tour de Vines - just the break I needed - The Tour de Vines weekend in Victoria’s High Country was an absolute treat of a trip. From the booking process to arrival, the friendly team at Tour de Vines went out of their way to make it easy and enjoyable. I messed up my booking and order the wrong bike, but the Tour de Vines team did not miss a beat and were only too happy to sort things out for me. The actual tour itself was amazing in terms of scenery and the places where we stayed. The people from the various wineries and other venues we stopped at along the way treated us like we were old lost friends and the food and tastings were magnificent. Although it was just a weekend away, the fact that everything was taken care of and you didn’t need to think about much other than just enjoying the ride and all it had to offer, meant that it felt like a complete break from the business and worries of home. A huge thank you to all the staff at Tour de Vines and in particularly our tour guides for a fantastic weekend. I could not recommend this trip highly enough. I will be back! Sent from my iPad

A friendly and relaxing feast for the senses - From start-to-finish our tour was a seamless operation guided by Charles and Damian. The logistics were expertly handled, with more than a touch of class, but even more impressive were the wonderful relationships between Tour de Vines and the various service providers which translated to special experiences at every turn. The food and wine was sumptuous, the natural surroundings magnificent, the bike path world-class, and the tour 10/10!

60th birthday group adventure - What an amazing trip this was. Right from our first enquiry tour de vines were quick to respond, answering queries promptly and keeping us updated on our trip. We were a group of 12 friends (6 couples) and all found the accommodation, meals and wine tastings exceeded our expectations. It was lovely that everything was included and the arrangements all went very smoothly. Everyone that we encountered was so friendly, the trail was easy riding for the most part ( 4 of our group had e-bikes) and the surrounding countryside was just beautiful. I cannot recommend highly enough this company and this tour and cannot wait to pick my next trip

Wonderful family experience! - We had an amazing few days on tour and what a great experience to share as a family. Tour de Vines is professional and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Michael drove to the airport twice to collect the members of our party on 2 different days and made sure we were able to connect with one another. He was super helpful throughout the trip and we could not have asked for a nicer guide. We chose to cycle on normal bikes and the cycling was very manageable. The first day is longer and slightly more challenging with one uphill towards the end of the day. The accomodation and food along the way was perfect for our needs. We cant wait to do another cycle trip with tour de vines!
