Excellent Winery and Guide - Excellent! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable- I learned a lot. Very interesting winery history and very special to be the oldest wine WeChat in all of Burgundy!

Don’t hesitate to stop off with a tasting at the Champex house. - Hortense was very professional and was able to answer all our questions. As a couple, we had a great pleasure in discovering the oldest cellar in Beaune, its cellars, its rooms (228 liter barrels including their 3 liter share of angels). The Prestige tasting of 1er cru white and red, quite a discovery for someone from Bordeaux. To do as a couple or with friends. Thank you for the welcome.

Wine tasting and tour - Personal tour of the cellar with history & fantastic explanation of the Borgogne wine region and Maison Champy wine. We did the premier wine tasting which was fantastic, our guide was very knowledgeable. A thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours.

A wonderful window into the art of winemaking in the heart of Beaune - A wonderful experience that gave me great insight into the wines of the Burgundy region and particularly Beaune, and how accreditation happens in relation to the climat of where the grapes are grown. Pauline was an excellent host and it was quite incredible to be standing amongst cellars that were 500 years old and stretched for a kilometre under this beautiful town. There were wines from as early as 1858 and to hear of the link with Louis Pasteur and also Gustave Eiffel to Maison Champy was so interesting. The tasting was very nice too of course and the whole tour was fantastic value for money. Thank you!

Maison Champy worth the visit. - Excellent tour of magnificent cellars, the guide was lovely, knowledgeable, and she spoke perfect English. The wine was good too!

Wonderful tour and experience! - Our family of four had a terrific experience today at the Maison Champy! We participated in the Cave Tour with our wonderful guide, Daniel. His knowledge of the region, winery, and history was truly impeccable and I have nothing but the highest praises for our experience. As a group from California, we are quite familiar with Napa Valley wines and have also spent time throughout various wine regions in France learning about the French wines. However, this was our first time in Beaune and we were certainly excited to grow our knowledge of wines of the Burgundy region!  What we loved about this tour is how it went far beyond the introductory level. Daniel took the time at the beginning of the tour to understand our level of knowledge and experience with wine before crafting a tour which delved into greater detail about the specifics of the wine and the Burgundy region. Each of us left the experience feeling as if we'd learned a tremendous amount and had each of our questions answered so thoroughly! Beyond the tour itself, the wines were amazing! We would highly recommend this tour for any of those interested in the history of the Maison Champy, the wines of the Burgundy region, or who love to taste fabulous wines. We will certainly be back for another visit and ask for Daniel again!

A Must For All Burgundy Fans. - Where to start? Oldest domaine in Burgundy with cellars and other fascinating artifacts to prove it. A densely packed and informative seminar on Burgundy production classification and climats. Gourmet lunch in an old wine barrel (not an exageration.). Tasting fabulous wines, including Premier Cru and Grand Cru selections. Bought a few bottles to send home. Don't miss it!

Good experience - Very insightful visit of the Maison and its majestic caves! The wine testing a bit conventional, I would recommend to remain on the basic option
