Wonderful information and rich history - My husband and I loved this informational tour of Bayeux. Our guide Christèle was an expert on the history of this town and she kept the facts coming in a fun and entertaining manner. We loved that she unfolded the timeline of the town to help us understand the many eras involved and even quizzed us to help ensure that we were tracking the story. Bayeux is truly fascinating. As one of the few towns that remains intact in this area, it provides a unique window into the region. A must-see.

Awesome guide in Bayeux - Great walking tour. The guide was very informative and entertaining. Our guide was awesome! She was very thorough and knowledgeable of the history of Bayeux and answered all our questions. She moved along at a pace we could keep up with. It’s very doable for anyone. Everyone should consider taking a tour with these ladies.

Exceptional - one thousand years of history, delivered with great humour and knowledge - We've been going to Bayeux for years and thought we knew a lot about the city, but this tour was fantastic; such a great mix of information on history, architecture, origins of street names and people. So much information but so well imparted by Christele (having lived in the UK and married an Englishman, her language knowledge and skill was fabulous). Highly recommend.

Stellar Walking Tour of Bayeux - The Bayeux walking tour is one of the best city walking tours we have taken (and we've taken many). Christele was so knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to understand. We learned so much about the history of the city in two hours. It was the perfect way to begin our stay in Normandy. It is well worth the money, and we highly recommend it.

Do this tour! (and early in your visit). - We have traveled a lot and have taken local walking tours a lot. It always depends on the particular guide. This tour of Bayeux with Christèle was absolutely brilliant, one of the best we’ve ever done. As Americans, we found her English and her sense of humor and colloquialisms to be perfect. Highly recommend!!

Do more than D-Day tours & the Cathedral - We did this tour today and would highly recommend it. We didn’t pre-book (only arrived in Bayeux late yesterday) but found out about it at the Information office. We were walk-ups and even better for us, the only two on the tour. Christele is an excellent tour guide, her commentary is more like having a chat with someone, she’s very personable and her English is perfect. She gave us a much broader knowledge of Bayeux and its long history, including little things that she pointed out along the way that we would never have noticed, which made it so interesting.
