Amazing day travel to Mt Pilatus - This journey was an amazing way to finish up a twelve day vacation. Ray was the perfect guide for our small group. He checked in with us all making sure everyone was comfortable and he shared so much knowledge. We had sufficient time at the top of the mountain to do a bit of hiking around on our own. It looked like the food choices had been great but we wanted to have dinner back in Basel so that gave us more time to wander.

Mt Pilatus - The Mt Pilatus excision on the two cable rides up the mountain was amazing. Well worth going to the top of the mountain. The views annd photo ops were great. Our guide Ray was excellent despite the long wait for tickets and access to the cable car ride. His knowledge and concern for our experience being positive was admirable. The boat ride on the lake was beautiful and relaxing. A quick hour. What added to this day was the weather ….it was sunny and gorgeous.

Wonderful tour! - Fantastic trip. Our guide Ray was intelligent, informative and a pleasure to be with. The weather didn’t cooperate but the tour was still outstanding due to a great group and Ray’s excellent leadership. Highly recommended.

Basel to Luzern - We had a mixed group of walkers and a couple grandmothers who were not steady on their feet. This trip has light walking We left from Basel and our guide Ray was interesting and fun. He knew so much about the cantons and area. We learned so much. Mt Pilatus was buried in a cloud but it was still amazing and beautiful, we especially loved the boat on lake Luzerne Even the train ride from Basel was interesting A nice tour and well run

Great experience - Our trip had to change as they were doing maintenance on the ride up to mountain so we were giving the offer of Mt Titulus instead it was wonderful and our guide was so knowledgeable and so helpful!

Fun on Mt. Pilatus in the snow - It was snowing by the time we got to the top of the mountain. That made it a very Swiss Alps experience in April. We were sorry to miss seeing some of the sights and the cog wheel train. However Ray was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He really watched out for us from train to bus to gondola to bus to boat. It was fun.

Excellent views and great guide! - Linda was an excellent guide. We loved going to Mt Pilatus. The views were amazing! We enjoyed the boat ride and seeing. Lucerne which is such a beautiful city.

Rip off - Booked with GetYourGuide. Tour operator was Tours of Switzerland. Paid $666.80. Forced to pay $75 and $19 extra on day.

Trip scheduled 6 months ago and Viator gave us the wrong meeting time - I got an email at 12:15 a.m. in the morning to tell me the time had changed and was now over an hour earlier than we had planned on. Didn’t see the email and found out Eric was a no show because we didn’t know he was to meet us an hour and 15 minutes earlier than scheduled by Viator. Still waiting for a refund email that hasn’t arrived. We’ve booked two other trips with Viator, one successful and the other very similar to this one. Probably won’t use or recommend again.

Excellent tour costs 210% of what was expected - The tour itself was excellent, and the guide, Ray, was first class. However the local tour company, Venez Discover Switzerland, were shocking. We had booked the tour 6 months ago, as the finale to our European holiday cruise up the Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel, and Viator had taken the fee 2 days before as agreed. Then on the day before the tour while we were out walking around Basel and having dinner, Viator forwarded a message via email that Venez Discover Switzerland were about to cancel the tour! I only got this message at 7:27 pm, with a cut off time of 7:30 pm. Faced with the alternatives of cancellation and sitting in our hotel room, or paying a surcharge of 110% of the original fee, I felt I had no choice as it was too late to seek alternatives. The tour was excellent, but I have a sour taste in my mouth and will never use Venez Discover Switzerland again, and will be very cautious about using Viator.
