Monserrat fun - We had a really fun time on this excursion. Alan, our guide was wonderful. He was very friendly and fun to spend our time with. The Basillica was enjoyable. We were lucky to see the boys choir for a group photo shoot. Even though we didn’t hear them sing it was exciting to see them

Fun and Enjoyable - Our family of 6, 2 adults and 4 teens loved this half day trip. It was the perfect combination of history, site seeing, and hiking. The hike was nice and easy and we had plenty of time to stop and take in the beauty, take photos and learn little tidbits along the way. Our guide was great and I highly recommend this to get out of the city for a bit and enjoy nature.

Spectacular! - Our tour guide Alan was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He was professional and personable at the same time. He waited on us as we were late to the pickup area. The tour of the montserrat was spectacular, with stunning views. The history is mesmerizing. A must see while in Barcelona

Amazing views and awesome tour guide - Highly recommend this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. The transportation was excellent, it was clean, air-conditioned, and comfortable. We felt like we had enough time in the monastery. Note that the tour does not include seeing the Black Madonna, The views on the hike were outstanding. Not recommended for those with difficulty walking. There were opportunities to fill water bottles before going up on the funicular and after the hike. After the hike, there was time to grab lunch at the cafeteria, a souvenir shop, and a local small farmers market with different types of cheeses for sale.

Would have been a great trip if not for the rain - This is difficult for me to rate. We went to Monserrat on a thunder-filled, rainy day and only really got to see the basilica and monastery. We did not get to do the most exciting part of the tour (the funicular ride + hike) due to the bad weather. So sadly, I can’t rate it any higher than 3 stars as we didn’t actually get to do the main part of the tour. I will say that it’s not the tour guide’s fault that the weather was bad and it probably would not have been safe to go up for the hike. While it is a shame, I will give three stars for the guides trying to make the most out of the day and getting us access to the Monserrat museum instead. The mountain views were also wonderful. The rain started to clear up just as we were leaving - go figure. It might have been nice to still be able to go on the funicular but I guess there wasn’t enough time towards the end.
