Off the Beaten Path Thailand - Bat Paradise - What a FABULOUS day! My friend and I booked this after seeing fruit bats flying along the Chao Phraya - we wanted to see more bats! This was the only tour we found with that, plus other things that looked cool. We were not disappointed. Cindy was wildly accommodating, she reached out via whatsapp to make sure we were prepared for the trip and to arrange pickup. Couldn't have been easier. She gave us lots of interesting info about Bangkok as we left the area which was very informative and unexpected. She made sure to ask us what we were most excited about for the tour (bats) so we could focus on those areas. The ride was smooth and comfortable. We recommend trying to do this tour on lottery day if you get the chance, it was so special getting to see all the offerings to Buddha in a beautiful temple. There were dancers, millions of eggs (offerings) and other things that you would never see in tourist areas. We were the only tourists and we really felt like we were getting to see true, local's Thailand. The markets were impressive with delicious snacks and we learned a lot. The Ganesh stop was more exciting than we anticipated. This is a boardwalk park with large statues of different religions' deities. The sights are beautiful and Cindy helped us take a boat ride on the river which was relaxing with beautiful views. She got us our lunch at the markets inside, and helped us choose foods that were new to us but delicious and it was perfect. She also went out of her way to take cool photos of us and sent them right away. Last we headed to the temple of bats! She knew how thrilled we were to do this so we spent ample time there. These bats were NO JOKE. There are hundreds of bats in the trees near the temple; they fly occasionally and make lots of noise. It was incredible. Never in our lives had we seen bats like this or to this extent. It was honestly amazing and Cindy made sure we got our fill before asking us where we wanted to be dropped off. When we expressed interest in a dinner cruise on the river, she helped us book it and got us a great deal. We were back in Bangkok by 5pm with time to explore before our river cruise. She completely made our day and our night and I can't recommend tours with her enough. We had a magical, relaxing day, and really felt like we learned so much more about Thai culture than we had in our last 2 weeks here. She is a treasure trove of knowledge and a true professional.

Well worth doing as it's a great day out - The whole experience from start to finish was great. Nora was a fantastic tour guide. Had an absolutely great day out.
