An authentic experience in the countryside out of Hanoi - I found meeting Mr Duoc, a war veteran, fascinating, learn about his experience during the war and gain knowledge about the tea affairs. Preparing and enjoying lunch in the local family was enjoyable. I had the chance to see beautiful environment when riding the bike. The countryside and Bavi mountain was great to observe. And, my guide, Trung, was extremely knowledgeable about the whole experience and about Vietnam in general. A superb day on a tour I highly recommend. Cam on rat nhieu!

Great private country tour outside of the hustle of Hanoi - As part of our Vietnam experience we got to see the countryside just north of Hanoi! I highly recommend this tour! The friendly hosts, the views, the bike ride, the rice wine, the foot soak, and especially the food you get to help make!!! All tremendous!

Excellent day in the country - We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and learned so much about the customs and lifestyles of Vietnamese people outside the city of Hanoi. We had a fabulous tour guide, Trung, who shared so many stories and information about rural life. We were able to visit a tea farm where we were warmly greeted by the owners. We sampled teas while learning about the owner’s military service. We were able to pick tea leaves and view the drying process. We were even gifted with bags of their tea. The wonderful day continued as we visited the home of Mrs. Chin. We participated in a cooking class and had a delicious lunch. We were also able to sample teas and tour the surrounding area by bicycle. Upon our return to her home, we had a relaxing food bath while learning about local plants. What a contrast to the businesses of the city.

Beautiful and enjoyable day outside the city - We had a really enjoyable tour, learning about tea and Vietnamese cooking. Trung was a very helpful and knowledgeable guide for the full day tour, learning about tea and speaking with Mr Duoc in the morning, then cooking with Mrs Chin in the afternoon. They were very accommodating and made vegetarian versions of what we were cooking for lunch for me as well. The bike ride through the rice fields had beautiful views, even with the clouds and mist . I felt I learned a lot about the local food and village and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the tour for a fun day outside the city!

A day in a Hà Nội village - Our tour guide Trun was very polite, well spoken and extremely knowledgeable. Trun was always checking on our wellbeing, making sure we had plenty of water to drink and we were coping well especially on our bike ride. We had a brilliant day from riding around a village, enjoying a cooking class ( eating what we made) seeing how tofu is made the traditional way, meeting a family of tea farmers providing us with their warm hospitality and watching the process of growing tea, withering it, drying it and drinking it.

Living with Locals- Off the Beaten Path - If you’re seeking a true indigenous experience off the beaten path, this trip is perfect. Our tour guide Trung was most knowledgeable and accommodating. During the bus ride he tough us about the history, government, and the economy. When we arrived Ba Vi he was very knowledgeable about the local farming life and economy as well. Trung is very passionate about his job and heritage. On this trip we were welcomed into the homes of two different families, one being the family of a proud war veteran who now runs a family tea farm. We picked and roast- dried tea leaves and then listened to the stories about their life. In another home we picked fresh fruit and vegetables and then helped prepare a wonderful feast for ourselves. We next bike rode through rice fields and small villages, and ended with tea and a hot herbal foot bath. This trip delivered exactly what we hoped for, exposure to the local life and Trung made this a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. We feel like we build friendships with and through Trung.

Take this tour! - Fantastic day out from Hanoi. Visited the tea farm with a war veteran, then enjoyed a delicious lunch (maybe overdid it a little …), a bike ride and a relaxing herbal foot bath. Trung was amazing - answered every question and adapted to whatever we and the kids needed. A wonderful experience.

Amazing, don’t miss this - Loved it. We did so much in one day. We made spring rolls and had lunch in a lovely home, soaked our feet in herbs, saw a villager make tofu for the village, went to a tea farm and learned all about how tea gets made. Great guide. Don’t miss this tour. It was one of the loveliest days I’ve had as a tourist.
