Quba amazing tour ❤️ - We had a memorable experience on this tour. I will definitely recommend this tour with my other friends and families. We have discovered a lot of beautiful places in Quba and as expected, Azerbaijan is one of the beautiful countries in the world. Our tour guide Miss Aisha (2) is very cool and smart. We learned a lot from her and we never had a dull moment with her. She’s so fun to be with. This tour is very worth it. More power to the rest of the team. You’re doing a great job guys. Keep it up 😇

Amazing experience - Nice inside scoop of the different regions of Azerbaijan. Sabuhi was very eager to share all information regarding all aspects of the tour. Highlights were the Candy Cane Mountains and the road to Khinaliq.

Leaving Azerbaijan - I never thought of coming to Azerbaijan alone. The itinerary was arranged at the last minute, which was very annoying. As a result, I didn't plan my time well. But I just went with the flow. I spent one day on this itinerary and one day on the fire place for the 2-day day tour. Today's itinerary went as far as a village very close to the Russian border, where I could see the Azerbaijani border post. There are 2,000 people in the whole village, and I haven't had time to see more. The tour guide Sabuhi was very good. He took a tour to Sheki yesterday and returned to Baku in the early morning. Today was another full day. I didn't have any cash for lunch, and he generously helped to pay for it. Azerbaijan's tourism industry is not that developed yet, although it is difficult to go deeper to discuss more issues. But at least the practitioners did not perfunctorily or slack off their work due to fatigue. It is already worthy of gratitude. What's more, you need to switch between English, Russian and Turkish at any time. It's really not easy.

Decent, but far from great. - I've got mixed feelings about this tour. That's why this review will be divided into two parts. 1. This tour consists mainly of places, where you can enjoy the views. If I had to rate the sights alone it'd definitely give it a top score. We stopped at places, where the views were breathtaking (at least for me :). Be it the Candy Mountains with different coloured hills or the "regular" mountains - all of it was simply stunning. I was a bit disappointed with the Khinalig village though, since it was advertised as almost 5000 years old and it looked like any other Eastern European countryside from 1950's. But I'll have to say that the views you can enjoy from there are pretty spectacular. 2. As for the "technical" part of the trip. Well, I hate to admit it, but it didn't live up to the standard the other tours presented. When talking in English, the tour guide spoke very quickly and pretty quiet, so it was hard to catch what she was saying. But even if she spoke perfectly, there wasn't a lot of information we were given on the way. She did interact a lot more with Russian-speaking tourist, which might be due to the fact that (from what I gathered) Russian language is very similar to local language, so it's much easier for locals to communicate this way. Maybe I've been spoiled by other tour guides that were constantly giving us information, but I was expecting a little bit more... Also, I need to mention that the driver had moments, where his driving wasn't up to any standard. I've seen a lot of people drive recklessly in Azerbaijan, but when you're responsible for a group of people on board, you might want to avoid manoeuvres like overtaking just before a blind corner or tailgating. One last thing: I don't know if they do hotel pick-ups, but if your starting point is Double Gates, try to be there a few minutes earlier as they've got several tours departing at the same time and it might get chaotic sometimes. I would recommend just approaching someone over there and saying the company name. Even if you get a wrong person they will likely point you in a proper direction.

Poor experience with smile Azerbaijan tour company - The trip booked was for English but I was paired with a guide who spoke only Russian. The restaurant we stopped at was too expensive for the food we got. The scenery was good. The drive is the most enjoyable bit. Regular stops for photography.
