Day out from Athens - A long day but well worth the effort, we had a great guide that did a great job of explaining the history behind the tour and left us with plenty of time to explore the historical sights. We included having the lunch and it was well worth it having a great Greek meal in a wonderful setting, lots of choices rather than one set meal.

The trip to Delphi from... - The trip to Delphi from Athens is a little long but well worth it. The valleys change to beautiful high snowed peaks as you get close to Delphi. It is mind boggling how the most important oracle was built here. Delphi requires a lot of walking up and down-hill in uneven terrain. The temperature gets cooler due to higher altitude. Take a jacket or sweater and plenty if water. The museum is also a must.

The whispers weren’t checked and only worker speratically - The guide did not wait at intervals to make sure everyone was there. The whispers were not working most of the time and she would start talking before everyone was around.

Oracle advises a pass on this tour - After two outstanding tours booked through Viator, I had high expectations for this tour of Delphi. The tour was very unorganized- we were asked to meet at 745 due to traffic from economic forum. However, the tour guide was not present at the agreed time and check in occurred late. The check in wasn’t efficient as the staff had to come on the bus to verify the attendees again, further delaying the trip. The bus driver had minor accident parking the bus at the first stop. The tour guide did not communicate well so it was hard to follow what the plan was when we arrived in Delphi at the museum and as we walked through the archeological sites. She struggled to define a clear meeting point in Arachova. Unfortunately one of the tour members did not arrive at the meeting site as planned and the tour guide didn’t have charge on her cell phone to coordinate next steps. It was overall a frustrating lackadaisical experience that took away from the majesty of the archeological site.

Long drive, short visit - Extremely long drive: be aware that the visit to the museum and ruins is around 2. 5hrs in total, compared to 8hrs+ of travel and food breaks. Lunch is served at 1500hrs so buy extra food at the first break!

Delphi: great. The rest: not so great - This tour was too much rushed, which could have been avoided, in my opinion, by giving clearer instructions and by taking the time that was set up for the tour, as we arrived home one hour earlier than expected. Some margin for the traffic I can understand, but it was a Saturday and especially at the end of the tour, we could have taken more time for the final sight. Now we didn't even have time to see the sight up close, nor to really explore the town we visited for lunch. Also, the wireless headset was disfunctioning, which obviously can happen and the guide did everything in her power to fix this. However, the machine came only with one earplug, which made it very difficult for me to hear what was said, as in the other ear you heard a lot of background noise from other visitors and tours. The lunch was disappointing and probably could have been much better, given the other restaurants we passed when going back to the bus. There were about 40 people on the tour, while a maximum of 36 was quoted. The beauty of Delphi made up for the above, plus the driver brought us home safe and the guide was knowledgeable about Delphi.
