Arusha town cultural, museum, shopping tour - Great tour of Arusha town! Make sure you ask for Shaban to be your guide if you want the best!! Shaban was very flexible, working with our schedule and wants in taking us around Arusha! He showed us the different markets, clock tower, museums, including visiting the largest art gallery in Africa, Cultural Heritage Center, where they have everything from artists with ranging items for sell from a few dollars for souvenirs to thousands of dollars for paintings, sculptures, statues, etc. The maasai Curios and crafts, the market to barter for everything & anything! Shaban was an excellent guide, helping us to negotiate in getting the right price for the items buying !! Definitely, the highlight of the day was visiting Shanga gift & works next to Arusha Coffee lodge! An interactive artistic center, employing people / artists all with disabilities that create pieces, homeware, etc. like glass blowing, weaving, sewing, beading jewelry, tinga tinga painting, metal work, where you can actually sit side by side & do hands on learning to make pieces! All the workers were super friendly with huge smiles! Making a great contribution to the community! Afterwards, you can sit under the shade of a tree on the beautiful grounds & have a coffee drink, pastry, or lunch! I recommend booking a tour & make sure you ask for Shaban as your guide! Thanks again Shaban🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

No regrets! Book this tour while in Arusha. - We came to Arusha a day before heading out on Safari to recover from jet lag. We did not wish to stay at our opulent hotel all day, so we booked this tour. Nielson was extremely flexible. We requested a 9 AM start time. Nelson showed us the city, and how people really live. It was a wonderful half day cultural experience, especially for our children, who have never been exposed to a country outside of a Western economy. The market was definitely a highlight. We got to interact with the people. Although we will go to the cultural center at the end of our Safari, it was good to go today, as it gave us a chance to see the crafts that are available, and we will be able to then make our selections/purchases on the way home. There is so much that it is at first overwhelming! Book this tour. The price is incredibly reasonable for American standards. The tour was exactly what we wanted: authentic Tanzania!

Best Guide in Arusha! - If you’re looking for guided activities in Arusha, look no further. Nelson has you covered! He greeted me at Kili airport and, together, we spent the next few days exploring. Nelson took exceptional care of me, including assisting me with a major snafu with my luggage at the airport. Trustworthy, honest, professional, prompt and friendly are all words I would use to describe him. He is the best! Thank you, Nelson! P.S. My travels with Nelson were in January 2021, but TripAdvisor only allowed me to go back as far as April 2021.

Pretty good way to spend one day in Arusha - I had limited expectations and was pleasantly surprised and how informative and how all encompassing the city tour was. We walked around town and Innocent explained the important monuments and what they meant, we went to the Arusha museum, Tanzanite experience, the cultural centre, and the market all in one day. It was a great change of space post safari so if you’re looking for something to do, I would recommend taking the day in Arusha.
