  • Oban War & Peace Museum - We start the tour at the VisitScotland iCentre, meet your guide here and whilst taking in the lovely sea views, discover the background to the tour and Oban! We’ll then move along to promenade, to discover Oban’s War and Peace Museum and learn about the impact of the wars in our small town
  • Saint Columba Cathedral - Discover St Columba’s Cathedral in Oban and discover the wider impact of religion in the area. If it’s quiet (or raining!) we’ll take refuge inside so you can enjoy the peace and serenity that the building provides the local community.
  • Oban Distillery - After exploring some hidden treasures, we’ll take a stroll along the high street towards Oban Distillery. Hear about its importance in the town across time - and you’ll even taste one of their whiskies later on in the tour!
  • The View Oban - Spend the last part of your tour inside The View with your guide, doing a tasting of three full drams of whisky. The perfect way to relax after your tour!

Get to know Oban in the best way possible; engage in a guided exploration and then a curated whisky tasting session with three full drams, facilitated by your local guide.

You’ll embark on the first half of the journey with your friendly local guide and a small group, exploring the traditions and heritage of Oban. Your local guide, who is also an expert on the area, will vividly depict the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ through narrations, customs, and stories. Having been acknowledged by Queen Victoria as ‘one of the greatest places she’s ever visited’, you’ll quickly understand why.

Post the walking exploration, it will be time for a small drink (or three) at The View! Loosen up with the guide, taking your leisure to take pleasure in three of Scotland’s premium whiskies while gaining insights about them.
