Sinkholes of Argostoli - Katavothes Sinkholes is one of the world’s most amazing geological phenomena, and it has sparked a lot of debate. Katavothres is along the Fanari road from Argostoli.The sea water rushes through some holes in the rocks on the shore and vanishes underground and ends up at Melisani lake cave and Karavomilos
Drogarati Cave - Kefalonia’s Drogarati Cave was found 300 years ago and opened to the public in 1963. It was discovered after a big earthquake caused the cave’s entrance to collapse. Drogarati is a spectacular cave with amazing stalactite and stalagmite structures. This cave, according to speleologists, is roughly 150 million years old and represents a remarkable geological phenomena. The cave is roughly 60 meters deep and maintains a constant temperature of 18 degrees Celsius. The cave’s humidity is high.
Melissani Cave - Beautiful and fascinating, Melissani Lake is one of the most stunning highlights of Kefalonia. In the Lake Melissani, you buy the ticket (not included in the price). By boat you will be taken around the lake to the closed part of the cave, passing the islet where the excavations had taken place. At the walls, there are Stalactites and flowstones with bizarre shaping, some with a resemblance to dolphins, as the boatman will point out, dolphins play a role in mythology. The lake of Melissani has not yet revealed all its secrets.
The water is brackish as many springs supply the lake cave. One of them is the source “Katavothres” which is located on the other side of the island near Argostoli. Part of the cave’s roof collapsed a few thousand years ago due to an earthquake. The daylight falls through this opening, showing the colour of the lake in its deep blue.
Karavomilos Lake - Just outside of Sami, in the direction of Agia Efimia, is Karavomilos. A small, charming fishing village with a long, narrow shingle beach and beautiful views of Ithaca. Karavomilos is named after a tiny circular lake near the local water mill. The region is surrounded by rich foliage, which attracts a variety of wildlife such as ducks, swans, and herons. The lake is part of phenomenon of the underground flow of fresh water from Katavothres near Argostoli to the Melissani Lake.
Antisamos Beach - Antisamos Beach is definitely one of Kefalonia’s most popular swimming and sunbathing beaches. It located 30.6 kilometers east of Argostoli and close to the port of Sami. we have time to swim here .
Divarata - Divarata is small village above Murtos beach we’re we stop to buy souvenirs and get some refreshments
Myrtos Beach - We drive above Myrtos beach at the famous photo shoot point , we’re we make stunning photo , we have a drone for more unforgettable photos
Assos - Assos Village is famous for its unique position and its a mountain with the castle above , we can have lunch or walk around the village
Agia Effimia - Agia Efimia is a scenic beach village 31.5 kilometers northeast of Argostoli Kefalonia’s capital, its peaceful and has lots nice taverns and shops. It is located around the natural bay and has a modest and charming harbor where fishing and excursion boats dock.
Fiscardo Harbor - We arrive at the Traditional Village of Fiscardo , the village remained the same even after the great earthquake , we can stay for dinner or lunch and visit the old Venetian light house

Brilliant day! - What a brilliant way to spend a day in Kefalonia! My husband and I spent the day with Chris, who was so friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. He kindly picked us up from our hotel and had drinks, snacks and an air-conditioned vehicle ready for us! Chris made sure we got the most out of the day, showing us the highlights of Kefalonia whilst showing us some hidden gems too. The tour was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed which was exactly what we were hoping for. The absolute highlight was sipping wine, tasting fresh bread, feta and sausage with the breath-taking view of Myrtos Beach below us. Thank you Chris for being a top tour guide and for making our day so enjoyable!
