AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE - Captain Jack was amazing and provided so many interesting facts about Amsterdam. It was also such an intimate cruise where beverages and delicious snacks were provided to all passengers. I highly recommend this canal cruise to anyone that is looking for a personable & unforgettable experience!

The BEST way to see Amsterdam - The BEST way to tour Amsterdam!! Captain Jack is knowledgeable, entertaining & a super host! The small (it ended up with just the 2of us as the others cancelled) group is the way to go...comfortable boat, great drinks & snacks & of course Captain Jack himself!! DON'T MISS IT!!!

Canal cruise with Jack - Great way to end our first day in Amsterdam. Relaxing, informative and Jack was very hospitable. Nice snacks and wine to complement the cruise.

Lovely way to see the city - We would highly recommend this tour on your visit to Amsterdam. It was a lovely way to experience the city with the personal touches afforded by a small group setting. Captain Jack was very knowledgeable about the area and engaging to converse with. Drinks and snacks are a nice touch and you’re able to sit inside or outside.

A most memorable evening canal tour - Jack was an excellent guide, showing us the best of the houseboats, buildings, and bridges with full commentary on the history and interesting facts about each. Jack answered all of our questions including talking about what it’s like to live on the boat. We had cool but clear weather, and Jack had blankets so we could enjoy the outside views as well as inside. His bar was also very well stocked.

Intimate Canal experience - My husband and I took the 5 pm tour on March 4. It was a lovely evening. Only 4 people were booked for that trip so it felt very intimate (it might have felt crowded with 8 passengers). The cruise was very calm and peaceful. We enjoyed learning from captain Jack and appreciated his humor and candor about Dutch culture and history. A nice selection of drinks were offered along with snacks. There is a bathroom on the boat. I especially like the area where you get on and off the boat. I highly recommend this experience! This was my 4th visit to Amsterdam and first canal cruise.

Amazing tour and an even better Captain - Captain Jack was awesome, extremely knowledgeable of all things Amsterdam and was not shy about answering all of my ridiculous questions nor bringing up random advice and information about the architecture and surroundings to help break any silence. He was very knowledgeable and funny; we enjoyed it tremendously. There was a family of three from Germany and two guests from the U.S. who shared the small group experience. There was plenty of room for 6-8 on the stern and room for at least 10 inside. The Captain provides ample coke and water and multiple bottles of wine, champagne, and spirits. The tour was roughly 1.5 hours, and we saw areas that would require multiple canal tours or might not even have been accessible to larger tours.

Book it! - My husband and I went on the 90 minute shared cruise yesterday with Jack after being recommended it by the previous reviewer! We had a fantastic time. We were very lucky and it actually ended up just being just the two of us. Jack was very friendly and provided everything we may need - unlimited drinks (huge variety of drinks available), snacks (mini stroopwaffel, peanuts, cheese straws), blankets for sitting outside etc. He is a local born and raised in Amsterdam so has so much knowledge about everything. He pointed out and explained many places of interest, answered any questions we had and we were able to sit inside, sit outside, sit up front next to the drivers seat and he also took photos for us. I’d highly recommend this over the large tour boats with many people and audio guides in many languages. This is far more personal and so much better having a local guide. The boat is beautiful and with it being electric it is also so smooth (I get bad sea sickness and it was the smoothest boat ride I’ve ever been on). There is a toilet on board and with the boat being smaller you can access smaller canals/bridges that the larger boats can’t. Thank you to Jack - highly recommended

Best canal tour experience! - We did this canal cruise on the recommendation of our hotel, the Hotel Estherea. The night we went, it turned out to be just my daughter rand I, so we basically had a private cruise. Everything about it was wonderful! When I booked it, I inadvertently misspelled my email address, but Jack texted me to be sure, so that was nice. We met him at the pickup time and location, and he helped us onto the boat. It was beautiful, and he had all sorts of drinks and snacks for us. The tour was 90 minutes long and he was so informative and engaging, it was really fun! At the end, he even dropped us back off at our hotel instead of the regular pickup location, which was very nice. We went at 7pm, so the lights of the city and the canals were just beautiful. We had such a good time and I highly recommend this tour!
