Highlights
  • The Jordaan - The most common theory on the origin of the name is as a derivation of the French word Jardin, meaning garden: most streets and canals in the Jordaan are named after trees and flowers. Another theory is that the Prinsengracht canal was once nicknamed Jordaan (the Dutch name for the river Jordan) and that the neighborhood beyond the canal came to be called this as well. Our Flagship canal tour will start and end here in the Jordaan.

Good balance between learning history and private time. - Lovely tour and the staff are amazing. Very fun and welcoming environment. The staff gave good recommendations for places to visit and a good history of the city but also left some downtime for people to talk amongst themselves and take pictures. Overall fantastic and balanced, highly reccommended.

Unique canal cruise with lots of humor - This canal tour was an absolute highlight during our stay in Amsterdam! We booked it spontaneously and were really impressed. On the spacious and comfortable boat (heated at this time of year), we were able to enjoy the lights of Amsterdam with only seven other guests, even in light rain. The boat captain Joreon and especially our guide Yannick taught us a lot about Amsterdam in a very humorous way. They also provided a fantastic service that left nothing to be desired. We can only warmly recommend this tour and would definitely go on board again!

Super personal, excellent tour - OK, do not hesitate to book this. Willem and Tamsin are incredible. Their boats are the most gorgeous in the canals and the experience was so personal for me. I was alone and when I arrived they told me I'd be the only one on the boat. I couldn't believe it. A group had rescheduled at the last minute and instead of canceling on me, they kept my booking and rode me around for an hour and a half. Just me! Alone on the boat with them. It was such a great time and they were so informative about so many interesting details and Amsterdam history. The prosecco and local beers I drank were excellent, and they recommended a great french fry place around the corner that turned out to be just what I needed after the boat. Book this trip!

3 B‘s Best Boat and Beer - The Captain and the Host made the cruise feel special to us! The Boat was beautiful, it was worth every Penny. It‘s no normal Tourist boat tour. And you got good special beer.

Highlight of the trip! - It was wonderful! easy to find the location of pick up, the boat was warm and cozy-which was a bonus because it was so cold outside. the guides were funny and knowledgable, providing a comedic historical tour of the canals. extra shout-out to our hosts Styn and Eva and our skipper Rosanne. Highly highly recommend this tour!

Successful canal cruise - The service was excellent. The view was great, unfortunately it rained a bit, but that's not the organizer's fault, I'd be happy to go again.

Yay - Difficult to find the place even with Google Maps so take your time and go an hour or hour and a half before to ask where the place is, apart from that everything was wonderful, lights, beautiful photos, pleasant moments, cheeses, wine or beer was amazing, recommended

Not the best experience - We couldn’t find the pick up place and it was pouring with rain, we consequently missed the boat. Not great

Not that great ! - Not really great as when we arrived outside Anne Franks house as instructed we were informed that to join the boat we needed to go around the building to the other side. Other posts say exactly the same so its annoying that the company don't change their information. We could easily have missed our time slot !! Once onboard we realised that everyone else had book a cheese and wine trip so we were the only ones who had just booked the cruise. We were offered the option to pay another 10 euros each to take part in the cheese and wine which we did in the end. This made us feel a bit awkward and was not what we expected. The tour guides were good so made the trip enjoyable.

Short but informative - The trip itself was good. From the water in the evening you had a nice view of the lights. The guides were humorous and told interesting things about Amsterdam. There could have been more. Shortcoming: The departure was not where it should have been according to Tripadvisor. Instead of being opposite the Anne Frank House, it was several meters further away. We only recognized the orange jacket of the flagship by chance. It could have gone wrong. Please provide better departure information or have the people from the Anne Frank House pick up and accompany them to the ship.
