Additional Information

The ancient hilltop town of Guadalest and the organic cascades of Algar are essential visits for anyone touring the Costa Blanca. Your expedition initiates with a comfortable, air-conditioned coach pick-up from designated points in Albir, Altea, Benidorm or Calpe*. Following a roughly 35-40 minute journey, you’ll reach Guadalest. There, you are allocated 2-hours of leisure time to discover the falls and adjacent landscapes at your discretion. The duration of stays in Guadalest may extend to three hours throughout the months of June and September. Precise timings will be conveyed to you on the day of the trip. Following Guadalest, you’ll venture to the waterfalls to spend an afternoon in nature’s own waterpark. The falls are multi-levelled, featuring several swimming points, a diving spot and mild streams and pools for those desiring to bathe in the pristine mountain waters.

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • People with walking difficulties will not be able to access most parts of the Algar Waterfalls due to the number of steps

Wow really wow - Wow, so beautiful how it flows through the mountains, the water was just warm, wonderful, what a peace and quiet in this beautiful mountain, a lot of walking, but what you see is really worth it, their delicious fruit, the people there so friendly, so sweet, yes, the kids really enjoyed it. We had a lovely swim in the waterfall, this is highly recommended and you really have to experience it

Good service and cheap for the amazing day out! - Trip with Kathy and Vincente Very good & informative from Kathy who spoke through loud speakers. Safe driving from Vincente 😁 Amazing views and beautiful town of Gualdest with gift shops, we had 2 hours to explore. Then we had 2 hours to explore waterfall and it was 19/20 degrees lovely weather to jump in water. Just the best all day trip! From 10:50-5:10 (about)

Fantastic Trip - We were picked up by our tour guide coach and it was about half an hour journey to visit Guadalest. This is a village that is in the mountains. The village is beautiful and has a good array and selection of shops and restaurants.we sat at the cafe that is across from the car park which was lovely. Due to the location of Guadalest it is very hilly and has stairs but you have plenty of small lovely shops to look around and you can take your time. It is such a picturesque village to visit. We then went to the waterfalls which again is hilly but is very beautiful. If you are planning to go into the various pools/ waterfalls then I would take footwear that you can change into to go into the water due to it being very rocky/slippy. The footwear really helps with this. Nearer the top is a selection of knee deep pools ideal for kids to paddle in with fishes, mid way is some areas supervised to jump into the water from heights. The bottom has the big waterfall but it’s a swim to get to through a strong current. I’d certainly recommend taking water shoes as it’s not sand in the pools, but stones and bare foot is rather difficult and painful, especially for young ones. There is no where to change. The water is typically about 13-14 degrees. The restaurants here are cooler and cheaper, there are road sellers selling fresh fruit which in the heat was lovely. The bus journey to and from is air conditioned and comfortable. Driver was very patient and took his time especially as there were some very tight windy and bendy roads. Our tour guide was great but sadly could not speak Spanish to the 4 people but we managed to use Google Translate that helped. All in all this was a fantastic trip and I would definitely add it to your list to visit as the views are beautiful.

A brilliant day visitng Guadalest and Algar - I really loved this trip. Our guide Louisa was so friendly and warm and made us laugh with her funny stories. The coach is clean and spacious and picks you up from outside you hotel. Gregory the driver made sure we had a comfortable journey, I was extremely impressed with his mountain driving. By the time we reached our first destination Guadalest, Louisa had given us lots of information about the area, and even though we were warned about the beautiful views I was still blown away by it. The Algar waterfalls were also beautiful. My tip would be to walk all the way down to the right where it is the most peaceful. A great place for sitting and reflecting. This trip is a great way to explore different parts of Alicante. Both destinations are well worth a visit.
