Alba Iulia - Your exploration begins when you rendezvous with your guide beside the fountain near the statue of Iancu de Hunedoara. Embark on your journey by passing through the Fourth Gate into the historic center of Alba Iulia, a city with a tapestry of constructions spanning over two millennia. As you traverse the bridge towards the Fourth Gate, observe the city’s stratified history, from the Roman military stronghold established in the 2nd century AD, through the medieval fortifications of the 14th century, to the 17th-century Austrian bastion, culminating in the contemporary Alba, also known as “The true Romanian Capital city”.
