About Hawaii Shark Encounter

Put your courage–and what you thought you knew about the ocean’s most misunderstood masters–to the test on these thrilling and educational shark encounters. Motor far into the open ocean, where the mysteries beneath the waves wait to reveal themselves. Armed with little more than a snorkel, slip into the water, suspended in hundreds of feet of clear blue. If you get the feeling you’re being watched, you’re right. It won’t be long before beady eyes emerge from the depths, followed by familiarly pointy fins. Soon, you’ll find yourself encircled by swarms of graceful Galapagos and Sandbar sharks. Protected by a floating cage, you’ll come nose-to-nose through impenetrable Poly glass partitions as your curiosity–and eyes–meet theirs 600 feet above the seafloor.

Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor, 66-105 Haleiwa Rd., Haleiwa, Hawaii 96712

Review

This has to be one of the most exciting and thrilling experience(s) I have ever been on. We saw about 20-30 sharks swimming around our cage....it was CRAZY!! We also learned a lot about these beautiful creatures. I will definitely do it again and recommend the tour to anyone visiting OAHU.
