DARJEELING TO DHOTRE DRIVE (2HRS) LATER DHOTRE TO GAIRIBANS TREK

Dhotrey - On Day 1 our guide will come and pick you up early morning from your hotel. The trip starts with 40 km drive till Dhotre from Darjeeling. After hour drive you will reach maneybhanjyang which is the border of India and Nepal where you have to show your details ( passport) to security personnel. Maneybhanjyng is also our breakfast point. After breakfast, we start our drive to dhotre which is another 13km. Dhotre is a small forest village Situated in Middle of Rimbik & Darjeeling. Our trek starts from Dhotre with gradual steep trail covered with Rhododendrons till Half Way. Around 2 hour Trek and we reach the border of Nepal and India and following Jeep Road for a couple of minutes, we reach Tumling, a small Gurung village in the border of India and Nepal. Our destination will be Gairibas. We will pass through Tonglu, Tumling and Jaubari. The total trek of the day will be 12 Kms. Lunch will be on the way. On reaching Gairibas tea and snacks will be served. Dinner will be served by 8 P.M

Additional Information

Normally its a 6 days trek but we have customize it to 5 days trek. This trek is one of the best treks in Darjeeling, panoramic view of Nepal and Sikkim Himalayas can be seen. 4 of the world highest peak Everest, Makalu , Lhotse and Kanchenjunga is visible from Sandakphu and Phalut during trek. The entire trek lies inside national park , if lucky travelers can get to see red panda during trek. During trek Nepali and Indian food will be provided, our guides are very jolly and active so you wont feel lonely or boring during the trek.

In one word fantastic!! - The trek was, in one word, fantastic!! Sangay from Off Road Adventures communicates easily via e-mail and it is also easy to consult with him over the telephone. Guide Sekhar made the 5-day trek a fantastic experience. He is a communicative guy, who speaks good English and can chat about all kinds of topics. He took very good care of me and provided excellent food and rooms in the lodges. The route was easy to walk with my average running condition. The route was very varied: through forests, farmland and villages, steep ascents and descents, sun and hail. The views along the way were breathtaking! We had 2 nights of frost on the ground at high altitude, but there were plenty of blankets available. And if you don't have enough warm clothes with you, you can buy everything you need in the Offroad Adventures store. I highly recommend this trek!

Singalila ridge 5 days trek - Good 5 days trek to singalila ride,we bookbthe trek at darjeeling but everything was arranged in short notice which was excellent. Rakesh is great guide to trek with.Highly recommended.

Singalila trek, Darjeeling - If you’re planning on trekking in Nepal, I can highly recommend OFF ROAD ADVENTURE. I booked my singalila trekking package 3 years ago, but due to Covid and border closures I couldn't go. Staffs of off road kept in touch with me over this whole time updating me with the travel situation in darjeeling. I appreciate Sangay for his great communication, focus on the guest’s needs and professionalism. He patiently answered all my questions and quickly responded to all my emails. He sent me a detailed checklist to make sure that I have everything that I need for my trek and make sure we got all our permits on time.
