Phnom Penh arrival

Phnom Penh - Phnom Penh retains its traditional Khmer and colonial charm with French villas and wide, tree-lined sidewalks.

Royal Palace - Explore the stunning Khmer-style royal palace complex, built in 1866 by the predecessors of King Norodom.

Silver Pagoda - The Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha temple, houses numerous Buddha statues adorned with gold, diamonds, gemstones, and silver.

Independence Monument - The Independence Monument, or Vimean Ekareach in Khmer, is a grand structure that stands prominently in Phnom Penh’s city center. It was primarily built to commemorate Cambodia’s liberation from French rule, which lasted from 1863 to 1953.

National Museum - The National Museum, a beautiful example of Khmer architecture, contains over 5000 art pieces made from bronze, wood, gold, silver, copper, sandstone, and other materials.

Wat Phnom - Climb the sacred hill of Phnom Daun Penh, which is also the name of a pagoda and the current capital city.

Central Market - The Central Market, constructed in 1937, features a dome with four arms extending into vast hallways filled with countless stalls. The initial design and layout were created by French architect Louis Chauchon.

Choeung Ek Genocidal Center - The Choeung Ek museum, where approximately 17,000 men, women, children, and infants detained and tortured at S-21 were taken for extermination between 1975 and 1978.

Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - Visit Tuol Sleng prison, now the Genocide Museum, the most secretive part of the Khmer Rouge regime. Also known as S-21 (Security Office 21), it was the Khmer Rouge’s premier security camp for interrogating and exterminating anti-Angkor elements.
