Highlights

Visit 3 major temples & see the sunset from top of mountain

Angkor Thom South Gate - Angkor Thom was established as the capital of Jayavarman VII’s empire, and was the centre of his massive building program. One inscription found in the city refers to Jayavarman as the groom and the city as his bride.

Bayon Temple - The Bayon is a richly decorated Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman’s capital, Angkor Thom.

Baphuon Temple - The Baphuon is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia. It is located in Angkor Thom, northwest of the Bayon. Built in the mid-11th century, it is a three-tiered temple mountain built as the state temple of Udayadityavarman II dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva.

Terrace of the Elephants - The Terrace of the Elephants is part of the walled city of Angkor Thom, a ruined temple complex in Cambodia. The terrace was used by Angkor’s king Jayavarman VII as a platform from which to view his victorious returning army. It was attached to the palace of Phimeanakas, of which only a few ruins remain.

Terrace of the Leper King - The Terrace of the Leper King is located in the northwest corner of the Royal Square of Angkor Thom, Cambodia. It was built in the Bayon style under Jayavarman VII, though its modern name derives from a 15th-century sculpture discovered at the site. The statue depicts the Hindu god Yama, the god of death.

Angkor Archaeological Park - We will have a lunch break in Angkor Park at a local restaurant for about 45 minutes to 60 minutes. For food and drink, you will need to pay by yourself.

Angkor Wat - Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Cambodia and is the largest religious monument in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century.

Phnom Bakheng - If the weather allows and you are not too tired, we can take you to see the sunset at Bakheng mountain.

  • About Tonle Sap Tour: The end of March to the end of July is a crucial time in all the floating villages in Siem Reap, as the water levels start to recede and present a unique opportunity for tourists to experience a new perspective. Although the picturesque landscape of the floating community may lose some of its charm during this time, visitors have a chance to immerse themselves in the daily life of the villagers living in the dried season. While some boats may become stuck, and smaller canoes are unable to traverse the jungle forest, these challenges add to the thrill of the experience. The dry season in floating village of Kompong Phluk may not be the ideal time to visit for those seeking postcard-perfect photos, but it offers a chance to witness a facet of the village’s daily life that is not typically seen. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We recommend visitors to embrace this rare chance to witness a different facet of this incredible destination and truly get a different taste of life in the village.

An amazing experience with a cool guide - Our tour guide Mr Sam was easy to understand and always had a bad joke ready for us. He was always able to tell something interesting not just about the temples but also about Cambodia in general. He is also very skilled at making photos. The tours were amazing and especially the tour to the lake was a really fascinating and authentic tour behind the scenes. Going around all the temples was really exhausting but we always had the option to adjust the plan or the option for one person to rest in the cooled car for one stop while the others can still view the sights. After all the walking around the temples in the heat and sun, we were always offered refreshing towels with a little lemon scent and unlimited freshly cooled water, which was a life saver of all the heat. The restaurants we were brought in were all actually good, no little street food stands but also no big tourist traps. Overall seeing the temples and the villages near the lake was an amazing experience although it was exhausting at times.

Impressed with the temples and the tour - Mr. Sam, our tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. He even gave us a souvenir bracelet with our name and some local snack. We had a great time at the temple. The tour is very well organized and our guide knows how to plan the best itinerary that will avoid heat and crowd. Ask for Mr. Sam when you book.

Unforgettable Cambodia experience. - Such a great tour expertly lead by Mony. Provided great information into the history of Cambodia and had expert knowledge of all the temples and areas visited. The tour was well paced and well orchestrated to avoid busy times at the more popular sights. The driver was great and the cold water and refreshing towels were always very welcome when we returned from a walk around the historical sights. All in all, this was a great tour, great communications beforehand while arranging and a memorable experience.

Great experience with this tour company! - We did the 2 day tour with Makara with our 2 teenage kids. The tour was great and Makara was the perfect guide. We really appreciated the flexibility in starting slightly late on Day 1. We didn't like the lunch place on Day 1 so Makara took us a very nice lunch place on Day 2. On Day 1, the place was very touristy and we prefer more authentic Khmer food. The itinerary was perfect for us. We ended up skipping the sunset hike and some of the temples on Day 2, which made the whole trip a lot less hectic. We really enjoyed the stories and history that Makara shared. Thanks!
