Fantastic time! - Had an amazing time on this tour! Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made sure everyone on the tour was able to spot each bird he pointed out. He was very patient with us asking questions and taking photos, and his passion for birds was tangible. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in birding regardless of your level of experience!

Great birding by boat tour!! - Not only was this the 1st time we have visited Cape May, but Birding By Boat on the Osprey was our 1st birding tour. I've been an avid birder now for about the past 6 years (hitting the big 6-0, this year), and this is the 1st chance that we have gotten to do something like this. I do wish that we had gone a few weeks earlier as the Spring migration has all but left Cape May, but in total we encountered about 30 different species of birds that morning. We went on the morning of June 2nd, and our captain was great and had a good eye for pointing out some species, and one could really tell that he knew where to go to find the birds. Our naturalist was top-notch and knew all about the birds, their habits, and habitats. It was great listening to him as he has a lot of knowledge. It's always best to learn from somebody like that. I was grateful to see new species for the year and to see more new species for my life list. If we had gone about 2-3 weeks earlier, we definitely would have seen more. Seeing the yellow-crowned night herons was a delight, and seeing the very quick clapper rail (thanks captain for pointing it out) was superb. All in all, they know both their stuff and they know how to make a birding trip fulfilling. And having extra binoculars on board for all to share is a great selling point. Our tour was not crowded at all - maybe at most 10 people, so it was very easy to either hang outside at the front (room enough for 5) or stay inside out of the sun as any location on the boat was a good viewing spot. And I got some great photos to boot!!!

Birding at its Best - We really enjoyed our picture perfect day out on the Osprey. It was a great trip where we were able to see the nesting birds of Cape May including some shore birds that were more rare this time of year. The captain was well versed in the local surroundings of the waterways and bird habits and was able to show us a lot of birds on the trip including heron chicks, oyster catchers, black and white ibis, pipers, plovers, eagles young and old, baby osprey, whimbrel, red breasted mergansers, etc. I would highly recommend for those interested in the natural wildlife of Cap May!

Great ride getting close to birds birds - We enjoyed the 2 hour cruise. We got to see lots of birds close up, so we often didn't need binoculars (but bring them if you have them). The naturalist was knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. Because the boat is small, you are close to the naturalist and the captain, and they both know gobs about boats, birds, and everything related to the water.

Brand new experience - New to birdwatching. The experience was relaxed informative. We got to see and learn about several coastal birds we never even noticed before. We will definitely go again the next time we are in Cape May.

Great way to spend an couple hours - It was a little chilly, windy & the water was a bit temperamental, and I can’t wait to return. Capt. Bob & Patty were knowledgeable and really lovely.
